Setting up your student jCmail account on your smart phone and iPod

For the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch

To configure the “Mail” app on an Apple device for access to jCmail, just follow these steps. Please note that depending on the make and model of your phone, your settings may differ slightly.

  1. Open the Settings app on your device

  2. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars

  3. Tap Add Account
    Tap Add Account
  4. Tap Gmail
    Tap Gmail
  5. Enter your account information:
    Enter account information
    1. Name: Enter your full name
    2. Address: Enter your full jCmail e-mail address
    3. Password: Enter your jCmail password
    4. Description: This can be whatever you choose. Examples: School e-mail, jCmail, etc.
  6. Tap Next
    If you have entered your information correctly, you will see a screen similar to this one.

  7. Select what you want to receive (Mail, Calendar, Notes) by tapping the on/off switch.

  8. Tap Save

And you’re done.

For the BlackBerry

To set up the BlackBerry’s e-mail client with jCmail, follow these steps. Please note that depending on the make and model of your phone, your settings may differ slightly.

  1. On your BlackBerry, select the icon that lets you set up e-mail (this can be called Setup, Setup Wizard, E-mail Setup, BlackBerry Set-up, E-mail settings or Personal E-mail Set-up).

  2. Click Add to add an existing email account
    Click Add
  3. Select Gmail
    Select Gmail
  4. Enter your full jCmail email address. Note: Delete “@gmail.com” if it is already entered in the email address box.
  5. Enter your jCmail password
    Enter your full jCmail email address and password
  6. Select Next
    Select Next
  7. Select OK
    Select OK

If setup is successful, you should receive a confirmation message and a new mailbox icon should appear on your device’s home screen, labeled with your jCmail e-mail address.
